Am Samstag, den 13. Februar ist Weltradiotag!
Wie schon in den Jahren 2014 & 2015 kooperiert radio x am Weltradiotag nun schon zum dritten Mal mit anderen freien / alternativen Radiostationen.
Wir freuen uns sehr, die freien Radiostationen aus Wien, Zürich, Glasgow und Athen für eine Kooperation zum Weltradiotag gewonnen zu haben und senden im Austausch am Samstag, den 13. Februar 2016 folgendes Sonderprogramm auf radio x:

a world radio day special edition of "Desi Beats", a show on Indian-European (pop) culture and lifestyle.

Am 17. August 1998 ging ORANGE 94.0 auf Sendung. In Wiens einzigem Freien Radio gestalten 450 freiwillige Radiomacher_innen ihre Sendungen selbst. Damit ist es das Radio in Wien mit den meisten Journalist_innen, Meinungen und Sprachen. Rund um die Uhr und mit Musik. ORANGE 94.0 ist auch Experimentierraum für aufkommende, künstlerische Strömungen, für Neues und noch nicht Etabliertes.
15-17 Uhr: Radio LoRa (Zürich)
Kick Off Sendung des Spezialprogramm „Flüchtlinge stürmen die Festung“. In den zwei Stunden der Sendung wurde das Sonderprogramm präsentiert. Es kamen zu Wort: Kamran Mohammadi, politischer Flüchtling und Asylbewerber aus dem Ost Kurdistan (Iran), Steffanie Frey, Kunstvermittlerin und Studierende in der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, Rubia Salgado, Kulturwissenschaftlerin aus dem Verein MAIZ in Linz und Samuel Häberli von der Freiplatzaktion Zürich, Beratungsstelle für Asylsuchende.

I am Fabian (DJ Phabius), host of The Megalo Taxidi Radio Show on Beton7 Art Radio in Athens Greece. 'Megalo Taxidi' means 'big trip' in Greek, we play the finest new releases from around the globe focusing primarily on Global Beats and World Music, with a particular interest in fusions of traditional and electronic forms. In keeping with the theme 'big trip', many of the artists we play have travelled to live in other countries, and in this way we explore the positive cultural impact of multiculturalism.
Our World Radio Day show will be typical of our usual broadcasts, with hopefully a few exclusive tracks.

The concept of my show will be to play a collection of new and old records, spanning from the 1970's until 2016. It will be mostly ambient and electronic sounds, from places such as Spain, Mexico, France, UK, Japan. I will do some presenting and talk a bit about some of the music as well! Hope this sounds good.
Subcity Radio is an independent, non-profit station based in Glasgow and broadcasting to the world.
We provide a platform to creative individuals to create forward-thinking radio content. Over 200 contributors make up our community, they are editorially independent and follow no set playlist, all content is their own. The station was founded in 1995 as an alternative to the options on the FM dial in Glasgow, following an American freeform college radio format. The station went online in 2003, and the last FM broadcast was in 2009. Today the station continues to aim for unique content that is free from commercial restraints. We keep our ears to the ground and our heads in the clouds.
